NotebookLM

NotebookLM is Google’s AI research notebook. Add PDFs, web pages, video links and notes to a notebook, and answers come only from those sources with citations, leaving far less room for fabrication. It can also turn the material into a two-host audio overview to listen to on the go.

Its approach is the opposite of a general chatbot: instead of knowing a bit about everything, it only knows what you give it. Every answer links back to a specific passage in the original material, which makes checking easy. For anyone who has to work through the same set of documents repeatedly, this is far more reliable than pasting files into a chat window again and again.

Great for reading papers, exam prep or digesting a stack of industry reports. It does not pull in outside information — both a strength and a limit.
