Adobe Podcast

Adobe Podcast is a set of browser-based audio tools from Adobe, aimed at podcasters, online course makers and talking-head creators. Nothing needs installing; it runs in the browser once you sign in with an Adobe account.

Its best-known tool is Enhance Speech: upload a voice recording made on a phone or laptop and it removes echo and noise so it sounds like it was recorded in a studio. It is literally upload and download, with essentially no learning curve — which is why it spread so widely by word of mouth among independent creators.

The effect can be strong enough to sound over-processed, with a dry, slightly plastic quality, so adjust the strength to find a balance. It is also for speech only and does nothing for music or ambience — background music gets treated as noise and suppressed, which matters when your material already has a score under it.

How to use
